Synthesize and interpret history, physical examination and diagnostic testing data; develop a diagnosis, initiate treatment and health maintenance plan; select and order appropriate diagnostic and health maintenance procedures; refer patients to collaborating physician, specialist and/or appropriate community services or agencies; prescribe medication, perform minor procedures and coordinate treatment Leadership. Provide health education, instruction, guidance and advisement to patients regarding medication and treatment; counsel family members and recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs Administrative Duties. Perform administrative functions to include completing insurance and when time permits, medical discharge documentation, providing guidance and teaching to ancillary personnel, communicating with and counseling family members, preparing daily billing sheets. Prepare complete chart entries on patient interactions, writing orders and recording progress notes
