PA FT position available (40 hours), daytime hours, no nights, weekends or call We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our Otolaryngology Head and Neck Cancer service team. You will both see new cancer patients with one of our 4 head and neck cancer attending physicians and see follow up patients independently. The focus of your clinic is survivorship, including treating and coordinating care for chronic and acute symptoms of head and neck cancer survivors, and surveillance for cancer recurrence. You will work closely with the entire interdisciplinary care team, including faculty physicians, resident physicians, nursing staff, a nurse navigator, and speech language pathologists to help deliver comprehensive care to patients with head and neck cancers. This role is ideal for a self-motivated PA who thrives in an interdisciplinary setting. The candidate should possess strong organization, effective communication, and critical thinking skills. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical PA experience, preferably in ENT, oncology, or a related surgical subspecialty strongly preferred.
  • Physician Assistant Required completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
  • APPs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn.

  • Participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.
