About The Position

Provides health care services to Otology patients under direction and responsibility of a licensed physician. Assists physician in all aspects of patient care, including examining patients, reviewing medical data, performing endoscopic-microscopic exams, ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting test results, and referring unusual findings to the supervising physician. Performs therapeutic duties such as ear cleaning, wound care, injections. May make diagnoses, dispense medications, and assist physician in surgical procedures.

Requirements

• NYS licensed/registered PA required.
• Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire (eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA).
• Initial certification must be present or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
