About The Position

IRMC is seeking a Certified Physician Assistant for their Pulmonology Department. The Physician Assistant (PA) is expected to possess the knowledge and competency to perform the functions of the role, adhering to the responsibilities and scope of practice of the Physician Assistant profession in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The role also requires meeting the criteria for Allied Health Professional status at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Graduation from an accredited AMA Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAAHEP) –approved program.
Certification by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Physician Assistant.
Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Maintains current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification — required or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
Must be Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or obtain certification within one (1) month of hire.
Possesses strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
Maintains hearing and visual acuity necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
Adheres to the responsibilities and scope of practice of the Physician Assistant profession in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Meets criteria for Allied Health Professional status at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
