About the Neurosciences Department Our Neurosciences Department brings together a diverse and highly specialized team offering comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of neurological conditions—from headaches and syncope to stroke and complex tumors. As part of our inpatient neurology service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with acute and complex neurologic needs. Role Overview As an Inpatient Neurosciences Physician Assistant, you will: Manage all aspects of patient care for the neurology inpatient service Perform neurological consults for both Emergency Department and in-house patients Participate in stroke code responses and assist in acute stroke management Coordinate discharge planning and outpatient follow-up Collaborate closely with neurologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members This is a per diem position covering all shifts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies
  • Active NYS Physician Assistant License
  • Current NCCPA Certification
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • NYS Infection Control Certification
  • DEA registration and NYS Opioid Prescriber Training Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Prior neurology and/or stroke care experience
