CEENTA is seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Care Practitioner who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. You bring professionalism, adaptability, and effective communication skills, and are comfortable working under physician supervision while managing clinic duties and occasional hospital consults. You demonstrate empathy, attention to detail, and support CEENTA’s mission of high‑quality, ethical patient care. Your day begins with clinic, performing patient exams, reviewing histories, and managing follow-up care. Depending on physician scheduling, you may also complete hospital consults. Throughout the day, you will diagnose and treat ENT conditions, support minor procedures, update medical records, collaborate with your supervising physician, and support the patient experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.
  • Meets all state requirements for ACP practice.
  • Must meet requirements for hospital credentialing/privileges.
  • Successful completion of ACP program and clinical rotations required.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to perform medical procedures within ACP scope.
  • Proficiency with EHR and clinical software systems.
  • Patient focus, empathy, attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking, adaptability, and multitasking ability.

Nice To Haves

  • Otolaryngology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed patient assessments, physical exams, and compile medical histories.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries independently within scope.
  • Order, interpret, and review laboratory and radiologic studies.
  • Prescribe medications as needed.
  • Assist with minor surgical procedures.
  • Conduct allergy consultations and participate in research or drug studies.
  • Provide patient education and counseling across a variety of ENT conditions.
  • Facilitate referrals to appropriate CEENTA physicians.
  • Perform consultations at surrounding hospital systems as needed.
  • Provide evening, weekend, and holiday triage call coverage.
  • Create complete, accurate encounter documentation in the EHR.
  • Follow all supervisory requirements per NC Board of Medicine, including chart reviews and scheduled collaborating physician meetings.
  • Ensure documentation meets CEENTA and hospital standards.
