About The Position

Covenant Health Urgent Care is dedicated to providing top-quality patient care to the Knoxville community, with two convenient locations and expanding with a new center opening in Northshore in 2025. Physician Assistants are vital to the success of our clinical teams and crucial to providing fast, friendly, and affordable healthcare at Covenant Health Urgent Care centers. In partnership with Covenant Health, Covenant Health Urgent Care offers state-of-the-art onsite digital X-ray, EKG, and common laboratory assays 7 days per week, 8AM - 8PM. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
  • Two years or more of continuous experience in emergency medicine, urgent care or ambulatory care
  • Must be licensed by the State of Tennessee
  • DOT certification required
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License required

Responsibilities

  • Provide complete, compassionate care to all patients
  • Serve as a role model and leader for that day's team
  • Standard office procedures to include, but not limited to, incision and drainage, splinting, suturing, infection management, wound care and more
  • Communicate test results, follow-up care, and other treatment plans as appropriate
