About The Position

Covenant Health Urgent Care is dedicated to providing top-quality patient care to the Knoxville community. Physicians are vital to the success of our clinical teams and crucial to providing fast, friendly, and affordable healthcare at Covenant Health Urgent Care centers. In partnership with Covenant Health, Covenant Health Urgent Care offers state-of-the-art onsite digital X-ray, EKG, and common laboratory assays 7 days per week, 8AM - 8PM. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine
• Board certified in Emergency Medicine OR prior clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care highly preferred
• Must be licensed by the State of Tennessee
• DOT certification required
• Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License required

Nice To Haves

• Board certified in Emergency Medicine OR prior clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide complete, compassionate care to all patients
• Serve as a role model and leader for that day's team
• Standard office procedures to include, but not limited to, incision and drainage, splinting, suturing, infection management, wound care and more
• Communicate test results, follow-up care, and other treatment plans as appropriate
• Supervising physician to advance practice providers (PAs or NPs)
