About The Position

The Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive clinical care while working closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced practice focused on clinical excellence, collaboration, and meaningful patient outcomes.

Requirements

Completion of a four-year Physician Assistant program with one year of clinical training, OR
Completion of a two-year accredited PA program with two years of clinical training
Graduation from an ARC-PA–accredited program
Current unrestricted state license required
BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Unrestricted DEA license required
Ongoing continuing education (100 hours every two years) and board recertification required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to care for patients across all age groups

Responsibilities

Examine patients, obtain medical histories, document findings, and make preliminary diagnoses
Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests (X-rays, EKGs, lab work)
Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and clinic policies
Educate patients on health maintenance, nutrition, and overall wellness
Perform therapeutic procedures including injections, wound care, suturing, and immunizations
Assist with emergency treatments and complex or invasive procedures within scope and privileges
Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
Counsel patients, monitor progress, and maintain accurate clinical documentation
Exercise sound clinical judgment and consult physicians as needed
Adhere to CPC’s clinical, ethical, and documentation standards
Participate in data collection, research, and institutional reporting
