About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Surgery / Breast to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx . Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. Opportunity Details: The position of the Physician Assistant consists of providing advanced evidenced-based care and treatment to patients including but not limited to the following: Performing history and physical examinations. Ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments. Developing treatment plans. Prescribing drugs and other therapies. Making referrals as necessary. Documenting findings in the electronic medical record. Consulting with supervising medical provider when appropriate. Counseling patients and families regarding care. Reviewing and responding to referrals from within and outside the clinic.

Requirements

Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
Current certification issued by the NCCPA.
Must have proven ability to work in a team environment.
Must be ACLS/BLS certified.

Responsibilities

Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $131,127 - $174,836 based on 40-hour work week and years of State Licensure.
The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239 - $192,319, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
