About The Position

Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Breast Surgery Team in San Francisco. This role involves providing hands-on surgical and clinical care for patients with benign breast conditions and breast cancer, in addition to supporting a high risk breast cancer surveillance program. The ideal candidate is passionate about women’s health, preventive care, and multidisciplinary collaboration, and brings strong clinical experience in breast care, surgery, oncology, or women’s health. This role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, in-person patient care in clinic and in the OR while maintaining regular operating room involvement, including assisting with complex breast surgeries. The Breast Care & Breast Surgical Oncology practice includes 4 breast surgeons, 2 Physician Assistants, and 1 Nurse Practitioner, with clinics located at two sites in San Francisco and one in Novato. In addition to treating breast cancer, the team manages a wide range of benign breast conditions, including lactational issues, infections, cysts, and masses. The practice also includes a high-risk breast cancer surveillance clinic and survivorship care program. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current California PA or NP license with NCCPA, ANCC, or AANP certification.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience required, including at least one year in women’s health; experience in breast surgery, surgical oncology, or related surgical specialties is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and patient education skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Interest in preventive, personalized, and team-based care delivery.
