Job Description Summary: Schedule: Monday - Friday, No weekends & No holidays • 8:00am - 4:30pm • Primary Clinic Locations: Grant and Pickerington Joining the Breast and Cancer Surgery team in this role would be a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients who are seeking treatments for Breast and Melanoma Cancers. Working on a team that provides comprehensive care for patients from the beginning of their medical journey through to their recovery can be incredibly rewarding. As a part of this team, you would be working to support a team of 6 surgeons and 6 APPs, collaborating with multiple disciplines to provide top-notch care to patients. One of the exciting aspects of this role is the exposure you would gain with triaging patient’s clinical concerns, removing post op drains and sutures, assisting, educating, and navigating patients through their initial cancer diagnosis and treatment, and more. This hands-on experience would allow you to develop new skills and knowledge that can benefit both your professional growth and the well-being of the patients you will be assisting. This position provides nursing care to patients and families along the health illness continuum in diverse health care settings while collaborating with the health care team. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (Required)
  • BTLS - Basic Trauma Life Support - American Heart Association
  • CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - American Red Cross
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer 2 years’ experience in Primary Care setting; or other like ambulatory care setting (see addendums)
  • 3-5 years nursing experience

Responsibilities

  • Assessment/Diagnosis Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual.
  • Outcomes Identification/Planning Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.
  • Implementation/Evaluation Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data.
  • Leadership - Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Operations As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.
