At Cedars-Sinai, our colorectal surgery department is committed to offering innovative surgical options for various intestinal disorders, ranging from irritable bowel disease to colorectal cancer. Our experienced colorectal surgeons collaborate closely with each patient to identify the most suitable treatment, enabling them to resume their favorite activities. We take pride in being one of the few centers in the region offering brand new robotic colon and rectal surgery. These powerful procedures allow us to preserve more healthy tissue, significantly improving quality of life post-surgery. As one of Southern California’s busiest colorectal surgery centers, we also specialize in complex revision surgeries that are not commonly available elsewhere. Our dedication to patient care extends beyond the operating room. We offer comprehensive post-operative support, including physical therapy and assistance from social workers, to ensure a smooth transition back to a healthy lifestyle.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring all preoperative and postoperative protocols are strictly followed
- Conduct patient assessments and develop comprehensive care plans
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver world-class patient care
- Provide patient education regarding surgical procedures and recovery
- Participate in outpatient clinics, managing follow-up care and addressing any patient concerns
- Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and medical records
- Stay informed about the newest developments in colorectal surgery to effectively implement guidelines.
