About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our busy orthopaedic practice on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest or background in orthopaedics and be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role involves direct patient care, assisting in procedures, and collaborating with the surgical team to provide exceptional musculoskeletal care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current and unrestricted PA license in [State].
• NCCPA certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proficiency with EMR systems.

Nice To Haves

• Orthopaedic experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including histories, physical exams, and documentation.
• Diagnose and manage common orthopaedic conditions and injuries.
• Assist in minor in-office procedures such as injections, splinting, or casting.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and labs.
• Provide patient education and post-operative instructions.
• Participate in pre-op and post-op care coordination.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
