About The Position
HCA Florida Northside Hospital is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our cardiothoracic team. Surgery, inpatient and outpatient setting to include: operating room, CVICU pre and postoperative care, and outpatient clinic. Monday – Friday schedule plus night and weekends with call First assist required for all cardiac and thoracic procedures with EVH proficiency 1:3 weekend call rotation with call pay Independence to cover inpatient consults, CVICU, set-down, and clinic daily. Independent patient management based on physical exam, lab results, and diagnostic testing, to diagnose and treat according to evidence-based medical practice. Conducts and participates in multidisciplinary rounds. Procedures to include: chest tube placement, central line placement, arterial line placement
Requirements
- ACLS
- BLS
- DEA required
- FL state license
- PA or NP with first assist
Responsibilities
- First assist for all cardiac and thoracic procedures with EVH proficiency
