About The Position

The physician assistant or APRN must possess knowledge of professional medical practice and care to administer and evaluate patient care; knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer care; knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care; knowledge of common safety hazard and precautions to establish a safe work environment; skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of medicine to provide on-going patient care, skill in maintaining medical records, skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, patient care staff, supervising physicians, medical community, and referring providers. This position is required to utilize independent judgment.

Requirements

Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and successful completion of the National Certification examination through the National Commission of Physician Assistants.
Licensed by the State Board of Medicine in Arkansas.
Licensed APRN able to practice in the state of Arkansas.
ACLS certification required.
Three to five years experience in hospital medicine preferred.
