About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - OB/GYN to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy. Requirements

Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program.
Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
Current certification issued by the NCCPA.
Cultural sensitivity to a diverse and under-served patient population - Must have proven ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Attend to clinics for women's health specialties.
Perform history and physical examinations.
Order diagnostic tests based on assessments, develop treatment plans and prescribe drugs and other therapies as needed.
Consult with supervising medical provider when appropriate.
Counsel patients and families regarding care.
Review and respond to referrals from within and outside the clinic.
Precept, evaluate and mentor physician assistant students rotating through the assigned clinics as needed.

Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $131,127 - $174,836 based on 40-hour work week.
The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239 and $192,319, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
