About The Position

The function of a Physical Therapy Technician is to assist and support the physical therapist(s). Under direct supervision of the Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant the technician facilitates patient flow and supports delivery of superior quality patient care to help achieve maximum therapeutic benefit. This position is Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year related experience and/or training
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong attention to detail
• Works successfully in a cross-functional team environment
• Practical problem solving skills
• Dependable attendance
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of Physical Therapist instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities
• Assist with patient treatment as directed.
• May monitor treatment progress as dictated by physical therapist and/or physical therapy assistant
• Clean and organize work area and disinfect exercise equipment and laundry as necessary
• Confer with physical therapy staff and others to evaluate treatment schedule and coordinate treatment. Maintain equipment used in therapy interventions.
• Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Able to recognize and maintain confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
