About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapy Operations Manager, the Front Desk PT Receptionist plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations by greeting and checking in patients and visitors, managing patient registration, scheduling appointments, and processing referrals. This position is responsible for gathering and entering patient demographics and insurance information into the EMR system, obtaining necessary authorizations, and maintaining accurate records for both new and returning patients. The Receptionist also handles various administrative tasks, including managing phone calls, ensuring proper documentation for therapy visits, and processing payments. By ensuring that patient needs are met in a timely and efficient manner, this position helps support the overall patient experience and clinic workflow.

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to type 45+ words per minute
  • General understanding of basic computer systems
  • Computer literate
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent telephone communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two year college degree, and/or two years office or related experience
