About The Position

New England Orthopedic Surgeons is a leading private orthopedic practice committed to providing exceptional patient care. We are currently seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Receptionist to join our dynamic team at our Ludlow office. As a Physical Therapy Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. Your responsibilities will include welcoming patients, verifying insurance and identity, collecting co-pays and deductibles, and maintaining accurate data in our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. A strong ability to multitask, excellent communication skills, and a professional demeanor are essential to succeed in this role.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a medical receptionist
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with EMR systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience operating standard office equipment (fax, printer, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities
  • Professional appearance and customer service mindset
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in Office Management is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients upon arrival
  • Direct patients to the appropriate physical therapist
  • Answer and manage incoming calls, schedule appointments
  • Verify insurance information and patient identity
  • Collect co-payments and deductibles
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and reception area
  • Provide accurate information in person, via phone, and by email
  • Maintain calendars and schedule meetings
  • Perform clerical duties including filing, copying, faxing, and transcribing
