How you’ll contribute A Physical Therapy Director who excels in this role: Provides strategic, operational, and clinical oversight for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, and Cardiac Rehabilitation services across inpatient and outpatient settings, including pediatric and adult populations. Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff. Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits. Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth. Handle multiple projects simultaneously including task delegation, project over-sight, and resource allocation. Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Current state licensure/certification as RPT and/or Speech Pathologist, or OTR certified by NBCOT; current BCLS certification.
  • 3-5 years of experience as manager/supervisor over therapies- required
