Requirements

Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in Louisiana or compact state.
1+ year of experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting preferred.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a focus on functional recovery and quality of life.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on physical therapy services to patients with complex rehabilitation needs.
Collaborate with physical therapists, physicians, and the care team to support individualized treatment plans.
Assist in implementing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and mobility training.
Monitor patient progress, adjust interventions as needed, and document treatment sessions accurately.
Educate patients and families on exercises, proper body mechanics, and strategies for improving mobility and function.
Ensure care is delivered in accordance with facility policies, treatment guidelines, and regulatory standards.
