The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supports the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services by performing patient care activities under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA assists in implementing goal-oriented treatment plans designed to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities in patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. The PTA ensures compliance with state licensure laws, American Physical Therapy Association standards of care, facility policies, and regulatory requirements while promoting patient safety and comfort.
