About The Position

Physical Therapist – Outpatient – Orthopedic and Neurological Rehabilitation NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center At New York-Presbyterian, our Physical Therapists use advanced technology and best-practice techniques to restore and maximize patient mobility and function. We provide one-on-one therapies that are tailored to meet the individual needs of our patients. Our facilities include state-of-the-art exercise equipment, private and open treatment space and up to date technologies such as Bioness L-300 Go, balance and vestibular equipment, state of the art strength and conditioning equipment. Join our inter-disciplinary team and provide high-quality, outpatient rehabilitation for our patients. This is a rotating position, beginning in the outpatient department treating clients with orthopedic, geriatric, neurological, and vestibular conditions. Experience with Neurological and Vestibular Rehabilitation is preferred. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with hours between 8:30 am – 4:30 pm including intermittent weekend and holiday coverage. The position begins in the outpatient area, with the possibility of future rotations to other areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current NYS PT licensure
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience treating a variety of vestibular conditions in adult and/or neurological populations
  • Experience with treating a variety of orthopedic populations including experience with post-operative protocols
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
  • APTA Neurological Clinical Specialist certification
  • APTA co-sponsored competency-based course series in Vestibular Rehabilitation
