A physical therapist provides services to patients/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or loss of a body part. A physical therapist plans and administers physical therapy treatment programs for medically referred patients to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part. Physical therapists at HMH may treat patients who are hospital acute care in-patients, out-patients, and/or provide consultative services to contracted agencies.
