About The Position

Avamere is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join their team at Avamere Olympic Rehabilitation of Sequim, a 100-bed skilled nursing community located in Sequim, WA. Sequim is described as a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and lavender lovers, offering a vibrant downtown and an affordable cost of living. As a Physical Therapist with Avamere, the individual will be part of a team dedicated to enhancing the lives of patients. Avamere provides in-house therapy across its facilities in Oregon and Washington, having grown since 1995 to become a leader in Skilled Nursing and Post-Acute Care in the Pacific Northwest. The role involves building lasting relationships with patients, residents, their families, and team members. Avamere is open to candidates interested in Full-time, Part-time, or PRN opportunities.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved curriculum in Physical Therapy
  • Must hold an active Physical Therapy license in the state of Washington
  • Able to practice unencumbered
  • In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
  • Working knowledge of Medicare and other payer sources
  • Full knowledge of resident’s rights
  • Exudes professionalism in presentation
  • Ability to multitask
  • Must speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Must have an active CPR/BLS certification

Responsibilities

  • Provides physical therapy to patients according to licensure
  • Directs and supervises the work of assistants, rehab aides and students as applicable with State and Federal Guidelines
  • Follows all organizational and facility safety procedures regarding one’s personal protection and patient safety
  • Expands and enhances self, in both clinical and professional knowledge through associations and continuing education
  • Supports and participates in department operations and development
  • Communicates patient status and needs to the patient, family, caregivers, or other members involved with patient care
