Physical Therapist needed on Tuesday and Thursday evening from 5:30p.m. - 8:30/9:00p.m. Work location is Gwinnett County Jail - 2900 University Parkway, Lawrenceville, GA 30042. Requirements

  • Current or eligible Physical Therapist license in the state of practice
  • Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program
  • If foreign-trained, degree must be evaluated as equivalent to U.S. entry-level PT education by an APTA-approved credentialing agency

Responsibilities

  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, assessments, and treatments in accordance with state practice acts, plan of care, and company policies
  • Help optimize functional mobility, independence, and quality of life for members of the aging population
  • Accurately complete all required documentation in a timely manner
  • Participate in required orientations, staff meetings, and in-service education
  • In collaboration with the Director of Rehabilitation, develop robust therapy program
  • Provide clinical supervision to Therapy Assistants as indicated
  • Follow all infection control procedures and OBRA Resident Rights Guidelines
  • Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and effectively prioritize patient care
  • Support compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Perform duties that may involve moderate to heavy physical demands
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned
