About The Position

Looking for a short-term role that makes an immediate impact on a dynamic, fun and innovative team? Our Fergus Falls and Elbow Lake Physical Therapy departments are seeking temporary Physical Therapists to join our team for a 12-13 week term. Our PTs will provide services to Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) patients and contracting partners according to the State of Minnesota practice act. We are a hospital-based PT program servicing both inpatient and outpatients with a wide range of diagnoses. Populations served include pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. Duties include and are not limited to: Provide person centered care, putting the patient’s needs first and involving them in their care. Possess an excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy. Display great interpersonal and communication, written and verbal, skills. Devise individualized physical therapy treatment and care plan for each patient. Communicate and coordinate with patient’s provider to ensure consistent level of care, seeking clarifying orders when necessary. Exercise independent judgement within the scope of practice, complying with federal and state regulations. Maintain Medicare certifications and track for signature. Complete thorough documentation in a timely manner, adhering to the documentation guidelines. Maintain and clean equipment and treatment area. Supervise Physical Therapy assistant as required and counter sign documentation if applicable. Supervise and instruct Physical Therapy students, Physical Therapy Assistant students, and shadow students. Complete daily charges correctly by the end of the day. Schedule patient if applicable. Stay up to date on continuing education to increase knowledge and skills for optimum treatment and personal growth, and completes annual training and competency as assigned on a timely basis. Stay informed with department and organization communication through department meeting, huddles, central line, emails, town halls, forums, etc. Complete contract work as assigned. Follow LRH safety guidelines, rules, and regulations. Hours/Shifts This is a full time role at 80 hours biweekly for the 12-13 week duration of coverage. Openings are available at Fergus Falls or Elbow Lake. Please list your location preference in your application. Compensation Hourly Wage Range: $47.36-58.90. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations. Benefit Offerings Temporary positions are benefit ineligible. QualificationsRequirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities: Education/Special Skills: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy and maintain a valid Minnesota license. Masters or Doctorate degree preferred. Current Healthcare Provider level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within 6 months. Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required. Basic computer skills.
