We are currently seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist I to join our team and contribute to the well-being of our patients.

Requirements

Licensure: Licensed (or licensure eligible) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist.
Certification: Current CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area.
Experience: New graduate to up to 2 years of work experience as a Physical Therapist. Employee is expected to progress to a Physical Therapist Clinician II level within two years of employment at VCUHS.
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Physical Therapy.

Nice To Haves

Previous affiliation or work experience at a similar facility.
Masters or Doctoral Degree from an accredited School of Physical Therapy.

Responsibilities

Deliver physical therapy care to assigned patient population with a focus on quality and compassion.
Record all patient care activities accurately and promptly in the hospital medical record.
Act as a consultant to various patient clinics within the hospital.
Provide instruction to PT support staff, students, personnel of other disciplines within VCUHS, and patients and/or family members.
Rotate through various clinical service areas as needed.
Patient evaluation and implementation of plan of care, discharge planning.
Ordering equipment.
Representing department at rounds and discharge conferences.
Scheduling and charging patients.
