About The Position

IRG Physical & Hand Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapist with a strong interest or experience in sports medicine, orthopedic rehab, or athlete performance. Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of experience in outpatient, orthopedic, or sports rehabilitation settings.
  • Experience working with athletes, especially hockey, skating, or field/court sports.
  • Strong interest in sports medicine, rehab progression, and return-to-play.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive orthopedic and sports-focused evaluations, including movement screens and return-to-sport readiness assessments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans addressing injury rehab, performance goals, and sport-specific demands.
  • Administer manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular training, and sport-specific conditioning.
  • Implement hockey-relevant interventions (skating mechanics training, lower-extremity power development, shoulder stability, etc.) as appropriate to your skill set.
  • Document and monitor patient progress with timely adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, orthopedic specialists, athletic trainers, and coaching staff as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury-prevention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold all clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Support a team-oriented clinic culture and assist colleagues as needed.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
