The Physical Therapist performs examinations, evaluations, and establishes plans of care including goals and recommendations for discharge. The PT provides daily treatment to promote functional independence and modifies treatment programs. Performs documentation in EHR. Coordinates/communicates with interdisciplinary team. Participates in program improvement, clinical education, and customer service standards. Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning, and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment, to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR), or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR). Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2002 OR Master’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2016 OR Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy or eligible for licensure

Nice To Haves

Doctorate in Physical Therapy
Experience as a PT in the NICU
Current AHA BLS (must obtain certification within 30 days of starting in this position)

Responsibilities

Performs comprehensive examination of patients using appropriate tests/measures, completes the evaluation, and formulates an individualized plan of care.
Provides evidence-based quality patient treatment and education, and monitors patients' physiological status during sessions.
Responsive to needs/requests outside of direct patient care. May include serving as a Clinical Instructor, providing presentations, serving on committees/teams, performing program development/projects, developing educational materials, providing education to coworkers after attending continuing education that was supported by travel or educational leave, etc.
Consistently meets departmental productivity targets.
Completes accurate and thorough documentation promptly following regulatory policies.
Submits accurate and complete charges and daily summary sheets.
Adheres to UAMS/Department policy for attendance; reports for all scheduled shifts on time and completes shift duties.
Other duties as assigned.
