About The Position

The Physical Therapist I is responsible for providing evaluation and treatment of the patient within the parameters of legal and professional guidelines, and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. The Physical Therapist instructs and directs Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Technicians as assigned. This position evaluates and implements the plan of care to improve, restore and enhance physical functional performance, and promote injury prevention. The Physical Therapist performs documentation and quality improvement, as outlined in departmental policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree- Physical Therapy
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)- American Heart Association
  • Physical Therapist License (PT)- State Licensing Board

  • 1 Year Physical Therapy Experience

Responsibilities

  • Providing evaluation and treatment of the patient within the parameters of legal and professional guidelines, and hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Instructing and directing Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Technicians as assigned.
  • Evaluating and implementing the plan of care to improve, restore and enhance physical functional performance, and promote injury prevention.
  • Performing documentation and quality improvement, as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.
  • Performs comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, treatment and related follow-up services including discharge planning.
  • Develops a treatment plan with measurable goals based on patient assessment.
  • Provides physical therapy, including selection and use of assistive equipment.
  • Completes appropriate goal re-assessment and discharge planning.
  • Trains and educates patients and family members or other support and documents understanding of treatment plan and goals.
  • Collaborates with patient and other healthcare personnel or outside agencies regarding coordination of care.
  • Documents and submits patient reports and charges within the established timeframe.
  • Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Techs.
