About The Position

We specialize in the areas of brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and complex medical conditions. SUMMARY The Physical Therapist (PT) Inpatient position is responsible for the provision of Physical Therapy services for an inpatient and/ or outpatient population from age 15 and older including, but not limited to, evaluation, evidence-based intervention, equipment recommendations and modality application, under the referral of a physician or qualified non-physician practitioner.

Requirements

  • Must possess a Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program.
  • Physical Therapist IN state license required
  • Must have current CPR certification in accordance with AHA standards or be able to obtain within 4 weeks of start date

Nice To Haves

  • 1-year experience with adult physical rehabilitation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Administers PT evaluations to inpatients and outpatients and determines appropriate treatment programs and/or equipment needs, integrating age specific needs and issues for physical medicine rehabilitation population.
  • Develops a patient-centered treatment plan based upon the evaluation, patient goals and age-related issues/needs to optimize treatment and function.
  • Responsible for assuring the treatment plan supports medical necessity and incorporates evidence-based treatments and outcome measures.
  • Responsible for ensuring the treatment plan is revised/updated appropriately per policy, communicated to appropriate team members including attendance at team conferences, and reviewed and signed off by referring physician (as appropriate).
  • Charges appropriately for services provided and appropriately documents outcome measures.
  • Provides clinical supervision, including but not limited to coordination of care and delegation of duties, to assistants, techs, and students according to state/federal regulations and hospital guidelines.
  • Other duties as requested.
