About The Position

The Physical Therapist will provide comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services, evaluating and treating individuals with physical and neurological conditions. The role focuses on restoring movement, function, and independence through individualized physical therapy programs.

Requirements

Valid Physical Therapy degree
Active New York State Physical Therapy license required
Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
COVID-19 Vaccine: Required Medical exemptions only

Responsibilities

Obtain and review patient information, including medical and health histories
Examine and evaluate physical and neurological status
Perform and interpret tests and measurements to assess movement-related disorders
Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans with defined goals and outcomes
Select, administer, and monitor therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to: Heat, cold, light, air, water, sound, and electrical stimulation
Massage, mobilization, and therapeutic exercises (with or without assistive devices)
Conduct and supervise individual and group physical therapy sessions
Observe, document, and evaluate patient progress; modify treatment plans as needed
Collaborate with and supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs)
Participate in bi-weekly interdisciplinary care conferences
