About The Position

The Occupational Therapist will assess, plan, and implement rehabilitative programs designed to restore and enhance functional independence for individuals with disabilities. The role focuses on improving vocational, homemaking, and activities of daily living (ADLs), while supporting overall patient independence. This position may also involve completing medical necessity reviews for requests related to complex durable medical equipment (DME), supplies, and Occupational Therapy services.

Requirements

• Valid Occupational Therapy degree
• Active New York State OT license required
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Required
• Medical exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient functional abilities and rehabilitation needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Support restoration of daily living, vocational, and homemaking skills
• Document progress and outcomes per regulatory standards
• Participate in medical necessity reviews for complex DME and therapy services
