SUMMARY Under general direction, serves as a department resource in the area of clinical specialization. Provides consultation to physicians and other physical therapists, conducts staff training sessions and develops protocols in area of specialization. Also functions as staff physical therapist and evaluates, develops and implements treatment plans for patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy required.
  • Must be currently licensed in Massachusetts as a Physical Therapist with an advanced degree in a clinical specialty.
  • Five years of outpatient experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and must also display well-developed interpersonal skills in order to work successfully with all levels of management, staff and patients.
  • Must be able to use computerized system, including keyboard documentation, throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) in one of its designated specialties is preferred but not required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
