Shadelands Post Acute is looking for a motivated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our premier in-house therapy team on a PRN basis. Requirements

  • A valid, current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License in the state of California.
  • A compassionate, patient-centered approach to rehabilitation.
  • The ability to stay organized and provide high-quality care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Implement therapeutic treatments as directed by the Physical Therapist, helping residents reclaim their strength and mobility.
  • Record accurate daily treatment notes and weekly progress reports in compliance with PT Board guidelines and facility policy.
  • Communicate with supervisors and the interdisciplinary team regarding resident progress, clinical hurdles, and future care plans.
  • Assist in training Restorative Aides and provide vital caregiver training to families to prepare them for a safe discharge.
  • Help maintain the functionality and cleanliness of our treatment areas and report any equipment needs to ensure a safe environment for all.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with residents, their families, and your professional colleagues.
