Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
  • Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of Ohio
  • Outpatient experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Administer manual exercises, massage, and/or traction to relieve pain, improve strength, and reduce the risk of deformity
  • Instruct, motivate, and assist residents with functional mobility and activity improvement
  • Observe, document, and report resident progress and treatment responses to the Physical Therapist
  • Fit and train residents in the use and care of orthopedic devices such as braces, prostheses, walkers, and wheelchairs
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and adjust treatment programs
  • Support clerical functions such as inventory, supply orders, and documentation
