How you’ll contribute Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover and maintain physical mobility/function. Reports to: Director of Physical Therapy A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who excels in this role: Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary. Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist. Documents services provided and patient response/progress. Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Assists with patient discharge planning. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs. What we’re looking for a licensed physical therapy assistant that is looking to make a positive impact in their community. Ap plicants should have an associate’s degree/graduate of a physical therapy assistant program. Additional requirements include: Active and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Tennessee Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Requirements

  • licensed physical therapy assistant
  • Associate’s degree/graduate of a physical therapy assistant program
  • Active and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Tennessee
