Overview Serves as the point of contact with customers related to repairs to automobiles and motorcycles. Prepares and audits auto repair estimates, which accurately reflect the reasonable operations required to repair an automobile or motorcycle. This is to be accomplished in a prompt, courteous, and fair manner. Promotes and maintains positive relationships acting as a liaison with our partners and customers in the auto repair process. Will work closely with collision repair facilities to negotiate repair processes and pricing. Responsibilities Support the corporate strategy of our commitment to the member relationship. Support the strategic mission of the Claims function as it relates to goals for the organization. Review loss reports and confirm coverage. Conduct prompt and thorough investigations of losses. Promptly evaluate and resolve claims through settlement or denial. Inspect and determine extent of auto damage. Prepare repair estimate in accordance with company and industry procedures. Prepare damage appraisals that reflect damages incurred using proper repair methods, new, like-kind-quality, after-market, or competitive parts, as appropriate. Review estimate with collision repair facility and/or vehicle owner Reinspect vehicles for supplemental repairs, when applicable. Maintain drive-in claim facilities for inspection of damaged vehicles on an appointment basis. Negotiate with collision repair shops when necessary. Establish and maintain quality relationships with collision repair shops, vendors, and Kentucky Farm Bureau company and agency personnel. Maintain current knowledge of auto repair techniques, labor rates, parts prices, and industry trends. Actively pursue salvage recovery, as required. Assist Subrogation Unit with subrogation recovery. Attend and participate in company sponsored meetings, seminars, and continuing education activities. Identify potential fraud and subrogation possibilities; refer as appropriate. Serve as a catastrophe team member or assist in other claim offices or locations, as required. Regular, predictable attendance. Ability and willingness to work in office, as required, is a must. Above average communication skills Always maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the company dress code. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. OTHER RESPONSIBILITES Advise appropriate claim representative of poor risks that should be referred to underwriting. Promptly respond to phone calls, emails, or other inquiries. Assist and give guidance to claim representative when requested. Maintain knowledge of policy contracts and industry trends. Maintain and properly use company facilities, equipment, supplies, and automobiles. Follow company guidelines related to maintenance and personal use of company vehicles.
