We’re seeking a motivated Physical Damage Claims Adjuster to join our team. In this role, you'll handle claims with precision, professionalism, and empathy—ensuring a smooth and transparent claims process for all parties involved. Supporting small businesses one member at a time. Since 1973, OOIDA has represented the interests of independent owner-operators and professional drivers on all issues that affect truckers. The Association participates in virtually every significant rulemaking affecting professional truckers, testifies at all major hearings on trucking issues, and participates in industry-wide organizations and conferences.
Requirements

Nice To Haves
- Claims adjuster experience
- Insurance sales or commercial cargo brokerage experience
- Mechanical and/or body shop knowledge of class 8 trucks
- Knowledge of AS400 and Content Manager
- Bilingual (English, Spanish)
Responsibilities
- Performs extensive and professional communication with insured, policy holder, claimant tow companies, government bureaus, outside adjusters, industry professionals, witnesses, police and any other person(s) necessary regarding claims
- Reviews field adjusters report and photos to determine settlement amount of repairable and total loss claims
- Prepares report of findings and negotiates settlement with insured
- Works with salvage buyers, and lien holders to obtain needed documents for settlement of claims
