About The Position

Concentra, one of the largest health care companies in the nation, is seeking a Physiatrist / Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist to work on site as a 1099 independent contractor. This contract position is designed to complement an existing private practice, typically involving a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis. Concentra Advanced Specialists manage medically complex patients, facilitate return to work, and aid in functional restoration. The role involves collaborating with medical and therapy providers to offer specialist services, including EMGs, for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries. Additionally, the specialist will communicate with employers and actively participate in case management, providing treatments that significantly impact patients' lives.

Requirements

• Licensure requirements of the state of practice
• Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
• Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
• Must have Medical Malpractice Insurance which will cover you while on site

Responsibilities

• Treat patients on site at Concentra for approximately a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis
• Assist in the management of medically complex patients
• Expedite return to work and functional restoration
• Provide specialist services, including EMGs, for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work related injuries
• Communicate with employers
• Take an active role in case management
• Work half a day per week or biweekly
• Maintain flexible scheduling with consideration of your private practice
