About the Team: The San Francisco Giants Photography department is responsible for shooting photos of all aspects of the Giants brand for marketing and archival purposes. About the Role: The San Francisco Giants is looking for a Photography Intern, where you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the distribution and shooting of photos. You’ll work closely with the Giants Marketing team that brings awareness to our brand and its many ties to the community. You will be expected to shoot photos during our pre-game ceremonies, events and edit photos in-game for the team photographers. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to shoot and edit photos. This role reports to the Photography Manager and manages a team of the staff photographers. This position will be in our beautiful ballpark headquarters at 24 Willie Mays Plaza in San Francisco. You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because… · You will have the opportunity to shoot and/or edit photos during every Giants home game. · You will contribute to the documentation of the fan experience at Oracle Park. · You will work closely with the Giants team photographers by editing action photos in game for social media. · You will learn about the Giants photography database. · You will gain experience with a variety of types of photography. · You are passionate about all types of photography. · You will deploy your photo editing skills. · You will partner with many different departments within the Giants. · You will have a unique ability to earn trust and work cross-functionally within the SF Giants organization.
Requirements
- Knowledge of photography
- Experience editing and distributing photo files across many platforms
- Use of Adobe Photoshop
- Interest and experience with asset management.
- Knowledge around metadata, particularly captions and keywords.
- Great at driving and maintaining relationships with external and internal partners
- Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to author and deliver presentations
- A keen sense of ownership, drive, and willingness to get it done
