The Photography Producer leads all phases of pre-production by partnering with art directors, designers, photographers, and subject matter experts to translate creative briefs into actionable production plans. The role ensures alignment with brand guidelines, project objectives, and defined deliverables. Responsibilities include developing and managing detailed production budgets; negotiating rates and contracts with venders and models; overseeing purchase orders, vendor onboarding, and payment processing. The producer sources and coordinates freelance crew such as actors, talent agencies, stylists, makeup artists, assistants, and digital technicians, while ensuring all contracts, releases, and documentation are properly executed and archived. In preparation for photo shoots, the Photography Producer identifies and secures appropriate locations, obtains necessary permissions, and coordinates with internal stakeholders across departments. The role manages logistical arrangements including travel, accommodations, equipment rentals, and scheduling. Detailed production timelines and call sheets are created and distributed to ensure clarity and alignment among all participants. During production, the Photography Producer may be asked to be on location for shoot days, overseeing adherence to schedules and approved scope. The role requires proactive problem-solving to address logistical, technical, or scheduling issues in real time. The producer manages last-minute changes effectively while maintaining production efficiency, quality standards, and a professional on-set environment. Following production, the Photography Producer manages post-production administrative responsibilities, including reviewing and processing vendor invoices, talent releases, and preparing cost reports. The role ensures that all contracts, releases, and production documentation are properly archived. In addition to project-specific duties, the Photography Producer maintains strong professional relationships with photographers, agencies, and vendors. The role contributes to the development and maintenance of production templates, workflows, and operational systems, and supports long-term production planning and continuous improvement initiatives within the department. As a member of the broader Executive Office creative team, the photo producer will also contribute and participate to department functions relating to the projects the photography relates to. Meetings, creative development, and coordination around the presentations the photography exists within is another core function of the role.
