About The Position

Bestica is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to provide service at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and associated Branch Health Clinics (BHCs) and TRICARE Prime Clinics in the Portsmouth, VA region. Join a mission-focused team in support of active duty military members, veterans, and their families. Phlebotomy Technicians play a vital role in laboratory services by performing venipuncture, specimen collection, and associated lab support tasks across multiple clinics. Requirements

U.S. Citizenship required
High school diploma or GED
Completion of a NAACLS-accredited or equivalent two-part phlebotomy training program
At least 40 hours classroom training, 100 hours clinical training, and 100 successful venipuncture (including skin puncture) procedures
Minimum of one year experience (within the last three years) performing venipunctures on diverse patient populations
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA; no web-based courses)
Basic competency in computer/data entry
