About The Position
Sentara Medical Group is seeking a Phlebotomist. This role involves operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, handling both internal and external customer inquiries and problem resolution, and frequently interacting with hospital and physician office staff. The Phlebotomist may also perform EKG and glucose meter tests and may work at the patient's bedside.
Requirements
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Completion of a Phlebotomy Program or Course in lieu of 1 year experience in Phlebotomy
- HS Degree or GED Required
- Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI Certification
Responsibilities
