Services include emergency services and freestanding emergency department, general and robotic surgery, maternity care, breast health, cardiology, orthopedic surgery, stroke, sleep medicine, urology and wound care. This position contributes to the mission of the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and the goals of the department by obtaining and/or assisting in the processing of laboratory specimens to facilitate the production of quality results.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • The applicant must possess current skills in the required areas so that the orientation period is not a training period, but strictly an orientation to our facility and its instrumentation, policies, and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy certificate program preferred.
  • At least 3 months of active phlebotomy experience is preferred.
  • Recent graduates of phlebotomy certificate programs may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Phlebotomy Certification from a phlebotomy program is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs LIS / computer operations and clerical functions as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
