About The Position

Welcome to the Family! The Family Health Centers seeks applicants for phlebotomist to work in any one of our three locations: Asheville, Arden and Candler. The phlebotomist collects blood (through vein or finger) and sterile urine specimens. Responsibilities include performing waived laboratory test and daily quality checks. Requirements

• Phlebotomist certificate
• Three to six months of clinical laboratory work/training experience in a fast-paced medical practice
• Previous experience working with electronic medical records. (Athena Preferred)
• Equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements
• High level of professionalism, excellent communications skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Ability to prioritize work
• Knowledge of CLIA/OSHA regulations and guidelines

Nice To Haves

• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Phlebotomy: 1 year (Preferred)
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Preferred)
