About The Position

The Phlebotomists/Processor collects, and processes laboratory specimens in Sunquest 8.1. Responsibilities: Perform venipuncture, capillary punctures, and specimen collection with 99%+ accuracy. Collect urine drug screens, complete chain of custody forms, and requisitions accurately. Ensure proper patient identification, specimen handling, and labeling for testing. Verify and complete billing information, and store specimens at correct temperatures. Proficient in PCR nasopharyngeal swabs and POCT testing (Level III). Retrieve, process, and prepare specimens in Sunquest 8.1 for transport. Organize specimen flow within PSC/IOP and assist with related problem-solving. Operate and maintain equipment, perform inventory checks, and restock supplies. Provide courteous customer service, assist in training, and follow regulatory and safety standards. Perform additional duties as requested.

Requirements

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
Must have recent phlebotomy training or experience, with at least 50 venipunctures completed.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
