About The Position

The Phlebotomist (MI) Obtains and processes a variety of patient samples for lab analysis, responsible for performing routine venous and capillary punctures, providing instruction to patients collecting samples, verifying physician orders, specimen accessioning and preparing samples for reference labs. Must maintain excellence in customer service and work cooperatively with others.

Requirements

• Must be able to provide direct patient care with concern, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Must be able to practice infection control
• Understand sample requirements
• Prioritize appropriately
• Communicate effectively
• High School diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved technical program or equivalent on- the-job training

Nice To Haves

• One-year clinical experience
• Medical Assistant certificate
• Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP or ASPT)
